In 2018, we founded the Birth Bundle Project. After observing birthing equipment being discarded after a one-time use during a maternity placement, we recognised the potential for this equipment to be re-used.

In early 2019, we established a partnership with the Family Health Bureau of Sri Lanka to facilitate the delivery of our birth bundle equipment to maternity hospitals in need in the country's Western Province.

In mid 2019, we successfully distributed our first shipment of birth bundle equipment. These were gratefully received by the staff at De Soysa Teaching Hospital for Women, Sri Lanka. They have been used in the maternity wards during deliveries and also to deliver practical workshops to medical students.

By late 2019, we began finalising collecting supplies for the second phase of our project.

We are currently working, within the confines of COVID-19, to expand our reach by establishing new partnerships with more countries such as the Phillipines.
